New original musical, Grief Tour, co-written by Alica Daine Benning and Maddie Kovach, was selected for the Madison New Works Lab at James Madison University in August, 2024. It received a 10-day workshop process with director Ingrid De Sanctis and musical director Kate Arecci.

Alica's original short play, sleepover, was chosen as a winner of Theater Masters' 2022 Take Ten Playwriting Competition.
sleepover received a workshop reading via Zoom on May 19th, 2023, and was published along with the other winners in a collection by Concord Theatricals.

Alica was one of five writers selected to take part in Refracted Theatre Company's inaugural Refraction Playwriting Lab.
Her new play, Grown, premiered with the other Lab members' work at a showcase in Chicago on December 4th, 2022.

Alica's original play, WOO GIRLS!, had its first production at the Factory Theatre in Rogers Park, Chicago in August, 2022.
